Dr Mirka Slavska

Dr Mirka Slavska is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and a British Menopause Society registered Menopause Specialist with more than 15 years of experience in women’s health. She provides evidence-based, holistic and individualised care, supporting women to understand their treatment options and make informed decisions about their health and quality of life.

Her areas of expertise include perimenopause, menopause, complex HRT decisions, testosterone treatment, fibroids, adenomyosis, menstrual disorders, heavy or irregular periods and bleeding while taking HRT. As a practising gynaecologist, she can assess whether symptoms are related to menopause or whether an underlying gynaecological condition may require further investigation or treatment.

Mirka completed advanced training in the management of benign gynaecological conditions and holds an ultrasound assessment proficiency certificate from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She also holds the Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare, enabling her to consider contraception, sexual health and menopause care together where relevant.

Within her NHS organisation, Mirka is the Simulation Education Lead for Gynaecology and co-founder of GEMS, the Gynaecological Emergencies Multidisciplinary Simulation course. She is a lead simulation practitioner for Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Wales, an author of MRCOG examination revision books and a registered trainer in Early Pregnancy and Benign Gynaecological Disease. In 2023, she received the Welsh Trainer of the Year Award in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
